Delete Server Files

Files that have been backed up to the storage server are not automatically deleted from the backup server once they have been removed from your scheduled backup set. Periodically checking the contents and deleting unwanted files from the backup server is a good practice that will save money on storage costs.

Deleting server files is processed immediately, and the deleted files can no longer be restored. To delete server files, do the following:

Starting CentralDataVault.

1. Start CentralDataVault.

The CentralDataVault application will start and display on your screen.



Select delete tab.

2. Click on the Delete tab.

The Delete tab is located at the top center portion of the applicaiton.



Select files for deletion.

3. Choose the files to delete

Place an "X" in the boxes of the directories and/or files you wish to delete by clicking inside the box.



Delete the files.

4. Delete the files.

Press the "Delete Files Now" button located in the bottom right of the application.
